In February 2021, Abbotsford Volkswagen hired me as one of their Marketing Assistant and in this position I honed my skills as a graphic designer, videographer, editor, content coordinator, photographer, and social media manager. For the Fall 2022 semester, I also took this position on as a formal part of my education for a practicum.

Job Description

Inventory

These are the basics - I take the same 25 photos of each car, and make sure all of our stock is on our website displaying properly with the right description and notes.

Social Media

This involves everything from scheduling to design to photography and videography - whatever needs to get done to showcase our dealership on social media.

Promotions

This encompasses designing posters, signs, and decals, planning and executing events, and communicating needs across dealership staff.

Collaboration

This is both internal - working with other employees to create content - and external - sending files to other companies to print or cut, or put on things like tents and jackets.

Testimonial (Photoshop) These testimonial posts are regular occurrences on IG.	Valentine's Giveaway (Canva) A post on IG that detailed another partnership between the dealer and a resort.	Holiday Hours (Canva)
ID.4 Promo (Canva) A professional promotion for the newly released ID.4 model.	Tent (Inkscape & Illustrator) I sent vector graphics to a custom tent company for an event tent we needed.	Alternate Testimonial design The newer design for testimonial posts, a brighter, more colourful arrangement with many options for variations.
Staff Photo (RawTherapee) A photo of staff decorating the dealership I took last week and edited on RawTherapee (Lightroom alternative)	Abby Hospice Decal (Illustrator) I created a vector decal do be displayed on our courtesy cars when the dealership partnered with a local charity.	Price Quote (Photoshop) An updated version of the guide the dealership posts in the community.
