In February 2021, Abbotsford Volkswagen hired me as one of their Marketing Assistant and in this position I honed my skills as a graphic designer, videographer, editor, content coordinator, photographer, and social media manager. For the Fall 2022 semester, I also took this position on as a formal part of my education for a practicum.
Job Description
Inventory
These are the basics - I take the same 25 photos of each car, and make sure all of our stock is on our website displaying properly with the right description and notes.
Social Media
This involves everything from scheduling to design to photography and videography - whatever needs to get done to showcase our dealership on social media.
Promotions
This encompasses designing posters, signs, and decals, planning and executing events, and communicating needs across dealership staff.
Collaboration
This is both internal - working with other employees to create content - and external - sending files to other companies to print or cut, or put on things like tents and jackets.
